American absinthe part II: Sirene Absinthe Verte

North Shore Distillery in Chicago is launching an American absinthe verte (green) this week. I believe this will be the second American absinthe on the market. The initial distribution will be just Chicago, then spreading around Illinois in the near future. Hooray!

We've taken a few deliveries from Sam's Wine in Chicago (they stock Q Tonic!). They carry other North Shore Distillery labels, so it seems that they could be a good source for the absinthe as well.

Alembic in San Francisco generally has a few of their bottles as well -- so we might well see an appearance of the verte at one of our local bars.

I love North Shore's products. I'm going to have to make a trip to Chicago soon to pick some of this up.
